Introduction

How do I get started to study for the ACT?

BEFORE WE START: TAKE THIS SURVEY (SAT VS ACT)

First, you have to start by getting an accurate measure of where you are at right now. This is so you can determine how much progress you need to make and what your schedule will look like. You can find an exam to take in the link here:

HOW TO START PRACTICING FOR THE ACT?

Study Plan

Once you have completed the mock exam, you should have a score and a general idea of what your strengths and weaknesses are. Now, it’s time to strategically work on your skills to ensure you get the highest score possible come test day.

First, look at the section that you performed the worst in. This section(s) will be the one that will be the center of your focus for your studying. In order to improve this section, you need to be doing as many questions as possible from these sections.

In order to maximize results, what I’ve found to be most helpful for me and students that I know is to acquire a book that has questions. The written aspect adds to your understanding of the test and the realness of it, so when test day comes, you won’t be suprised.

Study Resources

Now armed with your knowledge of your plan, it is time to develop skills and tricks to ace questions on the test. Below will be attached videos on how to attack certain questions on the test and it is your job to learn from these videos and apply it to your test in order to boost your score.
